VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
SOCIALIZE THE CATS: Unlike regular shelters, CCAD is a fun place to visit! Our cat facility is free-roam, meaning no cats are confined in cages. We welcome you to experience our cats in an environment free of stress and confinement. Grab a bench or a rocking chair and hang out. You'll have plenty of company!
Coming into the center regularly to give the cats the love and attention they need is very important. Some cats have sad histories and need to learn to trust people. Some are just scared and need to be reassured. Other cats are very comfortable at the center but can never get enough love! We welcome anyone with a few extra minutes to spare!
AM CLEANING THE CENTER: (Clean and Feed shift) CCAD has scheduled volunteers cleaning the center every morning. Volunteers can opt to do a weekly shift or can be a back-up if someone cannot fill their shift. Volunteers choose which morning is best for them. It takes between 2 and 3 hours.
PM FEED & SCOOP: CCAD has scheduled volunteers coming into the center in the early evening to feed the cats and scoop the litter boxes, straightening furniture, and giving the cats some love. This takes about 1 hour.
KEEPING THE CENTER OPEN ON SUNDAYS: CCAD keeps the center open every Sunday from 11-3. Volunteers are welcome to do a 11-1 shift or a 1-3 shift. These shifts include meeting people who come in to meet the cats, making them feel welcome, taking their information if they are interested in volunteering or adopting or anything else. Scooping litter boxes is required regularly while you're in the center. Email Info@ccadcatanddogrescue.org if you are interested in doing any of the above shifts.
FUND-RAISING: Volunteers are encouraged to email Info@ccadcatanddogrescue.org when interested in helping at fund-raising events, such as: set up, take down, being a dog handler, talking to people at the events, selling raffle tickets, providing baked items for baked sales, etc. The opportunities to help are endless at fund-raisers!
